The last two days we spent in hell... Almost literally!
We left La Sirena at around 11am and headed back towards Argentina to get a bus to Iguassu.
The bus of course was more than an hour late so we waited patiently. After 4 hours on route we stopped at a bus stop and after an hour or so of being stopped we realized that the bus had broken down so we had to change busses and get on the 11pm one.
11pm... 12 am... 1am... 2am.... And the bus finally came!
We all got in the bus to find it extremely stuffy, hot, and kind of stinky! Plus, it was almost full!!!
Nobody could sit together and the locals refused to change seats to let some from our group sit together. It was so frustrating! We all walked up and down the aisle to find a seat but we didn't fit! There weren't enough seats for all of us!
At the end many of the locals ended up transferring to a different bus since they weren't going all the way to Iguassu. I got lucky and had two seats for myself!
The bus was so painfully hot that it was hard to sit there. I took all my layers off and ended up in a tank top and my yoga pants. I tend to get a little desperate with heat and I had the great idea of putting my feet up against the window and the coldness of the window in a way balanced the heat of the bus.
Many of us tried to open the windows but no luck! Some people even started getting dizzy and sick from the heat. It was so awful! Also, the roof window kept dripping water and mostly Vinay And I were getting super wet from it which made it even harder to fall asleep.
After many hours we finally reached our hotel and oh SURPRISE! we had no water... So no showers or working toilets!!!! So annoying!
At night many of us went out for a fun Brazilian welcome dinner:
